Darwin Escapes are one of the UK’s fastest growing travel companies, with a current portfolio of 22 holiday resorts spanning both luxury and traditional styles. Having invested tens of millions of pounds transforming holiday parks, Darwin Escapes approached us whilst looking for a digital partner capable of keeping them ahead of competition.
The Darwin Escapes brand was first launched in 2014 and is now recognised nationally. As part of the digital transformation project, we had the challenge of accelerating brand awareness. The vision was you'd no longer stay at a single resort - you'd be visiting a Darwin Escapes location.
From an existing customer finding out about facilities at a resort, to a new customer booking a holiday online, downloading a brochure containing information on buying a holiday home, and booking a park visit, the website of over 3,000 pages needed to be easy to navigate and simple to use, both across desktop and mobile devices.
The new website seamlessly integrates with Google Maps allowing users to find their nearest resort, TripAdvisor to show the latest reviews and ratings, Instagram for the latest photos, and the weather forecast to show real-time resort weather. It also has a bespoke integration with Hoseasons, allowing pricing and availability to be dynamically shown within search results before completing a booking.
